@FantasyLuvrr The older guy is Rene Rifkin, who was one of the wealthiest men in Australia, and openly Gay. Caroline Byrne's (Cariba) boyfriend was his driver. It was never actually suggested that he was gay, but I guess at times he had to do things for the boss.
Caroline was murdered because she had gained too much incriminating evidence against Rifkin. Even though she never gave any indication that she would use this knowledge to cause trouble, she was deemed too big a risk.
