Arsenal Reserves claimed a 2-0 win over Portsmouth Reserves in a game eagerly anticipated as Eduardos return to competitive football. Mark Randall opened the scoring for Arsenal after 79 minutes with a well-placed finish after a wonderful defence splitting pass from Fran Merida. Arsenal grabbed a second goal in stoppage time, with a superb strike from left-back Kieran Gibbs.

  • Mark Randall has just signed for Chesterfield

  • @Deekstercph

    u are right.

    arsene has released him

  • @Deekstercph I agree, in my opinion he is going to be a late developer, and i dont think he will be an arsenal player next season

  • @Lorenshyne

I agree with you. Randall has bags of technical ability and vision although his physique is not impressive. I felt he should have gone to a Championship side aswell, however, Arsene must know what he's doing. A host of clubs were after Randall during the summmer.

It's said, though, that he tries too many flicks and tricks and generally has a bad attitude. Unfortunately I think he will be gone by the summer.

  • What de fuck? Mark Randall loaned to a fourth division Rotherham united? Whenever we here in Poland saw this kid in pre season game, he looked like genius, also litle weak body. He could easily be one of the best, sharpesst CocCola second divison players. How come 4th division, Arsene, he wont improve there.

  • so much for merida then

  • I would imagine the logo in the top right hand corner was a bit of a clue.

  • not world class... (YET)

  • why the hell would u wanna give commentary on such a meaningless game in such a meaningless league let alone televise it.

  • don't think there's room for them in the one midfield, bloody good players though
