CN Train 532 Departing Hawk Hills after lifting 6 grain loads from the siding. There is a signal maintainer inspecting the crossing lights and also you can see us cross the Hot Box Detector just before the crossing, and later in the video, you'll hear the detector give us it's inspection... Sorry if the video is shaky, it was a last second decision to make and I wasn't set up for it.... The power on the train was a CN GP40, a WC GP38-2 (WC 2001) and another CN GP40... will look in my book and get other unit numbers later... Train was 5500 feet long and 7500 tons... Heavy lift coming out of Hawk Hills, in Run 8....

  • Are those rail sections shorter than normal?

  • The rail on the sub is only 100 lb and 85 lb... so most of the rails are between 33 to 39 feet long....

  • wow what a ride on the CN GP40

  • Very nice!! Where is Hawk Hill? Love those 'cab views'!

  • Is that an ex GO Transit GP40-2LW? I know most of CN's are.

  • Wow! I didn't think CN had any track that's 85 lb nowadays...
