@Davegetta, you'll see.

@angryaudio, yes, but you'll be saying that happily when the real retail version comes out in 2012-13.

@FXerGerFra, it actually runs on a so called "virtual" pc environment, just like you can emulate linux or whatever on windows virtual machine. this means that ANY programs from ANY os can run on it, since it uses the converting "virtual pc" interface, and there is speculation that it will be an internet based operating system. thus making your statements irrelevant because of the fact that you will be able to run different programs in different formats and ways than any other os is limited to.

So.... this is a text based OS like MS-DOS?

@FXerGerFra just a question why does a pc/mac ect uses more and more resorces to do the "same" i mean there was a time that you could write a letter and safe it so it used only like 1kb now it is 14kb and a pc could run whit 256gb of ram now you need 2gb and 4gb is recomanded would it be better if we started to cut dawn on the eye candy and make the os programs "lighter" ,faster and more efficient instead of always making the hardware better

Cingularety is amazingly Fast and Safe but it is in an very early stage without beeing even close to having a graphical interface.
Even if microsoft would one day Start do push this micro Kernel OS project towards the consumer market their would be one big problem left singularety does not support C or C++ so Most applikations wouldent be likely to run on it even not with future development of the OS.
In return Bluescreens caused by drivers e.g. would be the past.
