Premier Wen Jiabao, has met with the Japanese War Orphan delegation in Beijing. The orphans came to China to express gratitude to their Chinese foster families. Wen Jiabao says that Chinese people have overcome many difficulties, to assist the more than 2 thousand and 8 hundred Japanese orphans deserted in China.

Since the establishment of the diplomatic relations, the Chinese government has provided great assistance in trying to help them return home. Wen Jiabao also says that many orphans have actively sought careers promoting friendship between the two countries.

Wen stresses that developing the friendship between China and Japan has great importance not only for Asia, but also the world. The Japanese orphan delegation say they will always cherish the kindness of their Chinese foster families.
