  • @TheTrillz You'd be suprised, it all goes back to the basics with each and every fighter. This is an important drlll to keep on your repitoure . Even thouhg most of these kids were teenagers this is still an important drill. Only reason they are their is to help support the funds for the gym ;)

  • @longrob thank you too for your responses :D its alot better than the usual Youtube conversations, And yeah i agree completely, although i think the hands down thing is mainly for show, along with the superman, but they are still techniques that work, for eg the hands down is alot easier to dodge with and get counters, and the superman if performed correctly can look like a fake leg kick, in which the opponent will try to block by raising a leg, putting him off balance for the incoming punch.

  • @RoryEastwayMMA The superman punch seems quite entertaining, but it's a very risky maneuver. So is fighting with your hands down, but there are a lot of talented fighters out there that can make it look like a good idea. In my personal experience, it's best to be meticulous about technique with novice fighters. After they learn the basics they can move on to doing things that suite their physicality.

Paint by numbers before you abstract. Thanks for the response.

  • @longrob oh i get you :D i thought you meant lifting the heel :D my bad, although you can still generate power when your whole foot leaves the floor, i.e the Superman Punch. But if you get caught off guard you can easily be countered as you said.

  • @RoryEastwayMMA I was referring to lifting your entire back foot off of the floor, as in off balance. You surely can't do much with that punch if your whole back foot leaves the floor. You also leave your self quite open to being countered. Being up on the ball of your foot is great so that you can rotate your back foot to begin the motion of hip rotation.

  • @longrob why would they want to keep their heel on the floor when throwing a right hand? im just curious, the right hand is alot stronger when you lift your heel, as you get more of a thrust from your hips and shoulder, generating more force... the rest of what you said is correct, but i dont get what you meant with the back foot thing :D explain?

  • @charbcbc lol yh Americans n.1 ofc idiot haha
