  • You forgot to mention that those folks with those big degrees might be laid off and have to turn to trucking to feed their families too. Look at the age of some of those rookies out there. If you see a 46 year old rookie, then think why.

  • @divisioneight I've talked to plenty of them. And they all say the same thing. "I just wanted a change"........I think some watch too much TV and old trucken movies and think they will be like Kris Kristofferson in the movie "Convoy".....lol..."braker 1-9...this is the 'Rubber Duck'!!"....I do see where you are coming from, but this is a hard life as you may know. I would advise these people to look at the positives and negative. There is many of both...

  • Subscribed. What is the music? Looks like you went from an old pete to a Century?

You know a second bungee placed a little further apart will keep that mic in one place.

  • @wi11y1960 Music in this one is Starflyer 59. Started a new company called Butler Transport out of Kansas City KS.

The mic really doesn't bother me. It just gets into the shot of the camera. I may take it down when I have the camera rolling....thanks!!

  • Too many schools telling students they are in high demand after graduation and they can't find jobs.

The It field is a perfect example. There are 3 IT people for every job available and getting worse.

Driving is looking very good at this point.

  • I've been in IT for over 20 years and the industry has gone to shit. The schools have turned out people with degrees in IT for years now and flooded the field so we have to do something to feed our families. Truck driving is now saturated and is not going to get any better. There are simply too many people and not enough jobs. If you want to bitch, bitch at the old fucks keeping their jobs after retirement and not letting the young people come in to replace them.

  • man i like your videos but the cowboys jersey gotta go dude. that being said i'm a north east regional driver and i understand why you dont like coming here. every time i i have to go to north jersey or ney york city i have a problem. ignorang drivers and clueless 4 wheelers make it a nightmare but it is worth it cause i get to come home like 3 days a week oh and E-A-G-L-E-S GO BIRDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I have two degrees and am working on a third and cant find jobs in any of the fields. this is why i am looking into the trucking industry. I currently drive a school bus and cant stand kids now, and want more hours. I am looking into Stevens transport as a training company.

  • @KE5WDP : Some of them (like me) are trying to feed their families because the depth of the recession (that has been supposedly "over" for a year now) is such that trucking jobs are all that is out there. The schools are taking advantage of this and getting folks to sign bad deals and basically work for free. I have no predispositions about the industry and it's negatives. It's still the best office with a view and would be a consideration if "all else fails".

  • Love those road-shots... though I understand there are times when you can't do 'em.

    As ever-&-always, thanks for sharing!
