This is another "How the accident happened" (now MVM) video made by me.
This time it is Gordon Smileys brutal and deadly accident at Indianapolis 1982.
Gordon Smiley had no chance to survive, cos the car was made of ALUMINIUM-alloy.
Even If the chassis had been of titanium, 200 miles head-on in the wall is definitly deadly.
There are some pictures of the accident at the end of the film.

@zelimhans Yes, I am mollusk, spineless when it comes to this. I was also a teenaged girl who saw this crash, and saw the brain matter on the track. Girls can be like that, sure. If I were a guy, I doubt I would have been clutching my mom an screaming and crying, either...lol. I wear pink, too ;~)

Race drivers should never correct the steering.. always let the car slide in the same position.. if you correct the steering you will send the car straight front to the wall... RIP Smiley
