The threat to Parkhead is the not John Read, its narrow minded know it alls that think they know exactly how the world should be run. The war happened, the Government done what they thought was right. Deal with it! I also know the man personaly and it makes me sick the daft comments people like you come out with. Just out of interest who would you have appointed chairman?

If you know him, then can you tell him that if he really is the Celtic fan he proclaims to be, he should have known that Celtic fans wouldn't be happy to see him at the chair of our club. Celtics history and tradition is the complete opposite of what John Reid is.

As for who I would have appointed as chairman? Well it certainly would not be a man of his reputation. Surely there had to have been more suitable candidates out there than a man who everyone knows about and knows the kind of ways that he deals with things. He walks through the door of Celtic Park and straight we are told that politics has to be left outside of our club. A bit hypocritical don't you think considering how politically charged our new chairman is!
