@cajayson8301 I totally agree. Erica Kane was a CHARACTER that the AMC fans loved regardless. Susan Lucci is a wonderful actress who stuck with the same role for 40 years because she loved the show, the character and her fans :-D

@babybelle32: I was just reading about this. AMC was NOT aired in B&W. Remember, color TV wasn't exactly new by 1970, which is when AMC started. According to Susan Lucci on a recent Leno, they aired AMC in color. However, ABC archived them in B&W. That's why you don't see color clips from those early eps.

Susan Lucci may have played Erica Kane for forty years but where are all of the other actors today who set their so called sights higher. Love her and may g-d bless her always.

Personally, if I set out to be an actor in my youth, I would certainly set my sights higher than playing the same character on a soap for forty years. But, that's just my opinion...........which I know people are not entitled to on YT.

Was it really necessary for you to come here and make that comment? If you don't like her acting, then WHY on Earth go seek out a video of her on youtube?
If she's so bad, then also explain why she's been on the same show for 40 years. She must be doing something right to have lasted so long.
