Galen Marek turned to the Light side because of his love for Juno Eclipse.

@reconelement I thought you took this off? Anyway great scene and you can see the fear, anger, frustration and confusion in his eyes a really tense scene.

"Death is a natural part of life. Rejoice for those who transform into the Force. Mourn them do not. Miss them do not. Attachment leads to jealousy. The shadow of greed, that is.

I know some of you guys feel that revenege sith has no tension but this scene has good tension, because of creepy lighting when anakin feels scared of losing padme before yoda gave him an advice to let go.

@yuskjr Yet Love can help someone return to the Light side. Like Revan and Bastila, Revan convinced Bastila that she could return to the Light side knowing that he loved her and would help her. Which made her feel safe, loosing all feelings of fear, anger and hatred. But yes I see what you mean.

@weedeepedia Freedom, being free is the path to the light side. Not being dragged down in the dark by loss of people. Not being materialistic or greedy. You know nothing, and socialism btw is the superior system.

And what do you think would happen to someone like you. Imagine yourself being blessed with the same lifespan as Yoda. Would you be able to live, love and lose for hundreds of years? Endure this endless circle and stay mentally stable? I don't think so. Yoda is setting a goal impossible for a human to reach. But nevertheless you should never stop trying to reach it.
And btw... "train yourself to let go of all the things you fear to lose" is a perfectly good advice

I have to say that most of the things Yoda says here is complete and utter BS. It's no wonder Anakin fell to the dark side with having such bad teachers. "Mourn them do not, miss them do not", "train yourself to let go of all the things you fear to lose". The last statement is outright horrendous. Basically he's telling Anakin to let go of everything he cherish in life, to become a mindless fruit with no emotions, hiding in fear instead of confronting and overcoming his fear and pain.
-i think the reason the Jedi are not supposed to date or fall in love is because emotional attachment always leads a person to make biased decisions. i don't think the Jedi think love itself is foolish; they simply realize that making decisions based on love is wrong because emotion clouds judgement by allowing a person to see things from only a subjective level instead of an objective level. the more attachment, the more subjective the choice, & the less wise the choice becomes.
-wise Yoda is..

Mourn them do not, miss them do not.
Yoda's scenes in ROTS are brilliant.
