JAWS MAUI 2009

Another practice day @ Peahi. Wave heights reached 20-25 foot Hawaiian scale. That means 40-50 foot wave faces. But nothing we havent seen before. But what we havent seen before that made this swell uniquely larger than previous years was the duration of the swell. It lasted 2 full days as oppose to 1 full day. Peahi's cliff was nutz and the channel was nutz too but was more nutz in 2004. Letz hope for a bigger XMAS swell and more by the end of this El Nino winter season.

Last time I was Summer 2007 in Maui , but I swear the next time it will be in Winter to see the Jaws :-) ! I love it !!
