Flaviano Labò sings "Che gelida manina" from La Bohème by Giacomo Puccini Orchestra of the Lyric Grand Opera Philadelphia Anton Guadagno, conductor recorded live: Philadelphia, Academy of Music 09/12/1966
Yes he was fine about five three it has been said but they can slant the stage and give him heels too appear taller, fine lyric spinto voice and sang in Forza very well also. He did at times sound somewhat like Bergonzi depending on the aria, not so much here. Very nice easy High C here also. Bravo!
I've got a photo of him standing next to Magda Olivero - when she wore heels she was almost a whole head taller than him! He didn't have the physique of a great tenor hero but by God he could sing! Not one tenor today can sing like this.
HE DIED AT AGE 64, CAR ACCIDENT.
