No, I just didn't turn on fraps until it was close to finished loading. Having fraps recording or vsync on locks the frame rate, which slows down the loading bar a lot (bad coding there). Without those things it takes maybe 5-10 seconds (plus the few that it spends minimized before the load screen appears).
