@MrTrajan69 Not to dis McCartney, but he wasn't exactly a fantastic showman or producer... He was/is pretty boring live (compared to these guys at least), and Paul doesn't produce... Plus his lyrics got so marijuana-infested that that went downhill... At best he was a pretty decent singer and a pretty good bassist...

I can't believe what an incredible song this is. Townshend is absolutely a genius. AMazing metaphor, filled out perfectly lyrically, not ot mention the beauty of the music.
Just astonishing. A very high bar to match for sure.
