revealing here that the Israeli head of counter-terrorism states the aim was always to provoke (through missiles and murder) Hamas to become a (democratically-voted) "political party" (which it could then refuse to recognise). History of the conflict shows how this strategy has been used. As the counter-terrorist expert says, the Zionist aim is not to wipe out ALL of the Palestinians, just to put an end to the resistance to the extent that it can finish the colonial project with US support.
