This is a follow up video from the one a few days ago. I'm now growing some tomato plants, a few jalapenos plants, and hopefully I will eventually have some Tilapia or Catfish to replace the minnows. I might even try some Walleye if I can find anyone within a decent drive for Dallas, Tx. that could provide some (although it's doubtful). Again, as I say in the video, this was an attempt to make a cheap but function system. I'd love to hear your comments, and please leave a note if you have an aquaponics or aquaculture system in the Dallas/Ft Worth area. Thanks.

  • WHERE IS THE WEED AT?

  • @CrazyDave650 The only herbs I've tried growing are the cooking kind. My college days are gone, I don't think I'll be growing any sticky icky any time soon. I would be curious to know how it's workout for other poeple though...

  • How is everything working out?

  • @PonderaProject I tried to make a follow up video a few weeks ago, but the quality of the video was really poor for some reason so I didn't post it. To answer your question, it was, and still is doing suprisingly way better than I expected! I had to move the system to my parents house because I moved into an apartment. I will try to make a follow up video asap. In short, I took out the tomato plants, jalapenos plants are about 4 1/2 feet tall, and enough basil to eat everyday of the week.

  • how much did it cost to make?

  • I think with for everything it was around 65-80 bucks. It could probably be a little more or a little less depending on what your get and how creative you are.

  • i like your setup but if the wiring is semi permanent, meaning more then a few hours, may be worth investing in some cheap thin pvc and run some secured pvc to run the extension cord through

i also like the cord connection in the bucket thing, but it worries me at the same time due to heat generated or anything else i am not thinking of, any electrical guys know how good an idea that is?

  • I live in DFW and I am getting my tilapia from a place called overtonfisheries (.) com. They are about an hour and half from us.

  • @Maloney1011 You CAN cook with cannabis...
