Apple 1984 Macintosh commercial

Engadget said this commercial was depicting IBM as "Big Brother". If that's true, was the underlying message really an unconscious message about about how IBM was supposedly the inventor of the numbering system used to track prisoners of the holocaust? This is what I read on Engadget.

How come every time I see this commercial on YouTube the audio is off-sync?

i don't know. maybe its supposed to be that way? not sure.

1984 is a book that was written in the 40s where everyone wore a gray outfit and a shaved head. that's also why they put "1984" in quotations at the end.
