  • How often do you use the facial buff sponges? With daily cleansing like the Clarisonic? (P.S. Thank you for giving us a MUCH cheaper alternative to the Clarisonic - I was soooo close to buying into the hype and getting one. Glad to hear there's another/better way to go!)

  • @cherryblossoms32 I use them at least twice a week...although that might be too often. When I was still breaking out I would use them everyday but I would be very gentle. They work amazing...and I break out with the clarisonic and I never had that problem with the buffs!

  • @bananas507 So I've been using the buffs for about 5 days now, once a day at night after I take off my makeup. The weird part is that it's helping my existing pimples greatly, but I'm breaking out in a lot of tiny pimples in new places. Do you think my skin is purging (if it was irritation then I wonder why my existing pimples are going away)? I'm very gentle with the buffs and I use a very gentle cleanser.

  • @cherryblossoms32 That is a little odd...I've been thinking about it. One idea I have is that maybe you're leaving the cleanser on longer than you normally would have and it's irritating that area. I don't think it would be "purging" unless those bumps have been under the skin for awhile and the buffs are revealing them. Did you change anything else in your skincare recently?

  • @bananas507: I haven't been using anything new, just the buffs, but I just found out that the culprit may be hormones as I am on that time of the month this week >.< (agh, the life of a girl...). I gave my skin a break from the buffs and I was still breaking out, so that was probably it. I still LOVE the buffs and they make my skin so baby smooth :). Thank you for replying and for the recommendation! On a side note - do you ever clean the buffs between each use?

  • @cherryblossoms32 Haha...oh yes...the joys ;) They are such a great tool...I'm glad you like them. I have tried cleaning them but I always tend to break out more when I reuse them. Now I just throw them out after one day. They're not so expensive that I'm really suffering. I also sometimes recycle them as sink scrubbers so I feel a bit more eco friendly :)

  • I love your intro! It's was cute and creative!

  • @bananas507 Thanks for replying! I just bought a set at Meijer, 12 for $2! I'll let you know how it goes!

  • @Ressa777 Primers in general sometimes can give a weird patchy look in certain areas. Especially if I let the primer set for more than a minute before I put my foundation on. It starts drying and then the foundation has a harder time sticking to it. (I think...I'm not really a science major) That's why I use the lorac aquaprime though.

  • @bananas507 I;m not sure.. it's like my makeup sticks to certain spots.. it's probably just dry skin I'll try the buff puff thingy. Thanks for the response..
