@wetweasel56 I know already unless I am wearing very peculiar contact lenses
personally I don't much care for the Naacp though my reasons are no doubt quite different than yours--and at the risk of alienating my leftist chums--present cultural distortions and cultural pathologies have nothing to do with Black gains in civil rights but rather the unspeakable greediness of other groups (feminists for one) to piggy back off the gains that people died for. This point has been attested.
@vivascargill...that seems to be whole problem here. You are stuck in the past and think somehow that has something to do with now.
Try having no affirmative action, no NAACP, United Negro college fund, minority scholarships, minority housing assistance, ect. and then you will know what it is to be white.
@wetweasel56 tell you what we will build a time machine go back to oh say 1955-1965 paint you black and drop you where? Ruleville Miss and you will try to vote. Then you might want to revise your definition of the term "racist" and since I know most of those SNCC folks your slur fails because it is easily refuted by first hand experience--I have tried to be civil
White / Free Black ownership of Black slaves varied from decade to decade.
It is a documented fact that after the war a Black freeman went to pray at a White congregation, to the chagrin of most Whites there. General Lee, a private and pious man, did kneel aside the Man and prayed. Things had changed and he led by example, the church still stands today.
My McDonalds scenario was to point out how ridiculous you are to label me, son of Mexican nationals, a segregationist.
I'm not White, I'll tell you I'm "Brown" and have a Black girlfriend.
That Southernors, 80% of whom didn't own slaves, felt they had to fight for their homelands, like Robert E. Lee, is a fact. The Fact is that General knelt down and prayed with a Black man at White congregation after the war.
@malvie33...I believe every race is equal to the other. Every race has an equal chance to evolve to a civilized level. I believe every race should help themselves and not rely on others to help them when at all possible.
We are all equal, we just don't all behave equally.

Imagine this: McDonalds segregates it's eateries.
Sounds laughable, right? So are your comments.
