Special thanks to Blogrich55 and lightspeed52. Justification is by faith alone.
"Not only do destructive critics make such mistakes; many sincere and devout worshippers are also confused. They often say that we are saved by faith alone. This of course is false. We are justified by faith alone; but we are regenerated without any previous faith or works; we are sanctified by faith and works; and we shall be glorified by neither. A closer study of Scripture would help us avoid confusion relative to the several distinct phases of an all-inclusive salvation."

  • @jacksmack77 Agreed

  • Ephesians 2:8-9: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

We are saved by Faith alone in the Grace alone provided by Christ alone, this in itself being a gift from God, of no works on our behalf, lest we glory in ourselves.

"causa sine qua non" without which not.

In essence our Salvation is by faith only in Christ and His indescribable and undeservable favour......... :O)

  • @MrUrosSrb Amen my young Serbian friend. Going to Split in the spring, hopefully Serbia too. God bless.

  • @gore53 hahaha true.

  • @fundamentalchristian Can I follow you around 24/7 and judge how well you're carrying that cross. It'd be a cool reality show. Exposing the hypocrisy of those believing they're holy and righteous by anything other than the shed blood of God's Son.

  • Romans 11:6 means Jeff is going to hell!

  • Good point! It took me a long time to understand this. Salvation to the uttermost is promised us as soon as we believe (justification by faith alone) but salvation itself is ministered to us through means including works--for even faith itself is perfected by works (James 2:22)! These works however are before ordained by God--they're HIS works--and He gives us to will and to do them. So our faith is in God's promise that He's going to bring us all the way to glorification--and God doesn't lie.

  • @RationalEnquirer- That is, proof they're not saved. If you're saved, you'll carry your cross.

  • @01269832268 James 2

  • Of course we are saved by faith alone, this was God's plan. Apostle Paul preached on the finished work on the cross all his life. We are saved faith alone, there is nothing to debate! May God bless you.
