On October 29, 2009 HPR received a plea for help for a cat named Eleven that fell from the eleven floor into an elevator shaft needing immediate rescue as he was on the euthanasia list for the next day.
Hurricane Pets Rescue (HPR) immediately started to work on his rescue but a miracle was needed to save his life. Eleven was scare, so scare that the shelter deemed him "feral", he was in excruciating pain as he had a broken hine leg, many bruises, scratches & a few infected open wounds all over his body.
Within minutes after the plea for help was sent out by HPR our volunteers & non HPR volunteers began to work on his rescue.
Within a couple of hours, thanks to many ANGELS, Eleven was no longer on the euthanasia list & was now awaiting transport to our vet to receive the immediate vet care he needed.
Thanks to many donors and a $200.00 grant from the UAN, HPR was able to raise the $1,900.00 needed for his surgery to amputate his hine leg.
This lucky boy is ALIVE today, recuperating beautifully & with a very bright future ahead of him because of you.
Shaft is today at his forever home in Ohio where he will never ever have to worry about being abused or not having enough love or not getting enough care again.
Those days are OVER for Shaft, MIRACLES do happen and Shaft is living proof!
HPR couldn't have saved this boy's life if it wouldn't been for so many caring people and generous people like you.
We might it taken Shaft out of the shelter and provide what he needed , but you are the real heros as without your generous donation the care he needed wouldn't have been possible.
THANK YOU and GOD BLESS!
Thank you Erika and ditto, thank you for all you do as well.:)
God Bless
