Sen. Hutchison explains that she's pro-choice and how she believes that a fetus at 22-weeks old is not considered a life and could be aborted if the mother chooses. Visit TexasRightToLife.com for more information.

  • "Viability" is a measure of scientific and technological advancement. Using it to define when life becomes human does not pass any logic test. Science tells us more every day that the baby is fully human at conception.

  • "Viability at 6 months when a baby is a baby, and lives"? what? "I do not think that people should abort live babies" (meaning after 6 months). Come on, Kay! Babies are "alive" from conception and are living and growing at ALL times! If that double-talk was not trying to satisfy both sides of the table, I don't know what is.

  • zygotes are people...but civilians in war-torn nations aren't

  • pro-lifer's want to tie women to a bed for 9 months and force them to become mother's. as soon as a woman becomes pregnant she loses all her rights and becomes a non entity. Not me.!!! I will never become a mother, because I choose not to be one. My rights will come before the baby, because it's my body. Pro-lifer's keep your hands of my body, thanks.

  • @khenali25u8 yes there are those who need it but some dont. pro-choice by definition is stupid. imagine if i said this: im pro choice on rape, i personally do not like it but if my neighbour does then i dont see why we cant live together regardless of our beliefs. doesnt work does it?

  • A baby less than that age of gestation would never survive outside the womb, thus viability.

  • @AslansChild says: Science tells us more every day that the baby is fully human at conception.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~
    LOl, I think science told us that thousands of years ago. What other species could we be? plant life?
  • @AslansChild says:Science tells us more every day that the baby is fully human at conception.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ we've always known a human fetus was of the human species, but until its a human BEING, its nothing

  • @khenali25u8 You are somewhat right. I think unfortunately the extremes dominate the discussion. Pro-Choice people often make the Pro-Life crowd seem extreme. I hate the Roe vs. Wade discussion that is used against Republicans because even if it is overturned abortion is still legal pending additional legislation, which would not likely pass.

  • Pro-choice can also mean pro-life. If you want a baby, have the baby. The thumbed up comments absolutley irk me. There are people that need abortion, and lots fail to understand. Has anyone thought about people that have had stillborn, already dead, babies inside the womb? Very unfortunate, but the babies have to be aborted because of the state they're in. There is more to being pro-choice than what is percieved. There are more sides to the spectrum. Quit assuming and acutally think.
