For Union Sation's Centenial Celebration in Washington DC, the North Carolina Transportation Museum sent their former Southern Railway E-8 #6900 and Atlantic Coast Line E-3 #501 to Washington via Southern Rails pulled dead in tow behind a Amtrak unit.

  • Thank you M611 Martin for filming that train and putting it on YouTube for all train buffs to enjoy!

  • @Petemonster62 It's my pleasure. ^.^ Thanks for watching.

  • I don't know who you all are, but, I love this video. Any time I'm having a bad day, I say to my son, "Have you got Aubrey's phone number?" It makes us laugh. Poor Aubrey, did he get to see the train that day?

I used to drive through Altavista on the way to my Grandparent's house in Reidsville NC. And many times I rode Southern Railway through Altavista too. A lovely place for sure!

    Thank you for the video.

  • Wow. Thank you for your story. Aubrey got to see the train that day. I'm very glad that you liked it.
