TV news story about an extremist church and school in Corona, CA that fired teachers (employed for up to 22 years at the school) and whose personal beliefs were of conventional Christian faiths (Catholic, Episcopal, Methodist, Lutheran, Presbyterian, etc.) because "they are not Bible-believing religions," according to the new pastor, Chuck Booher.
I don't agree with Booher on all of his specific doctrinal points.
However, Booher and the church has the right to make requirements of church employees.....at least for now....(let's see what Washington does with the constitution in the next few years).
I mean, could you imagine the Catholic church not making all sorts of demands on it's employees.....and parishioners.....? How about open communion like Christ had?
@turbodelsol1 Catholics interpret certain verses differently than Protestants. Why do you think Pastor Chuck has the truth? The Holy Spirit guides the Catholic Church and apostolic tradition allows for the correct interpretation. Thousands of Protestant sects claim to be right but differ on issues like salvation, baptism & contraception. The Holy Spirit can't be leading all of them. The authority & history of Protestantism is heretical and largely based on personal opinion and protests.
Crossroads Christian Church was founded in 1892 by 9 members. The Catholic Church was founded by Jesus on Peter (1st Pope). "And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build MY church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it." Mat. 16:18 *Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." John 3:5 (Baptism) *The RCC helped compile & maintain the complete Bible. Luther removed & edited books.
My kids went there for preschool last year because I felt it was a loving Christian environment. I am sure it is still a loving atmosphere with loving people. However, people should not be criticized for being another religion. They are Christian. Those religions have been around for 100's of years. Who is to say that one form of Christianity is better than another? Only someone who thinks that they are. And is that in itself being Christian?
God Bless you Chuck, Keep dodging the flaming arrows of the evil one and be fitted with the whole armor of God. we love and support you and pray for all who oppose your decision. Keep Changing the world and bringing the lost to christ, you are doing great. Love you Chuck, God Bless!!!!!
Praise god !! I would love my kids to attend that shcool ! why would anyone want a catholic teaching there. they have completely diffrent views of jesus. you go pastor chuck! I would love to enroll my kids there. stand up for the truth !!
How much sense does it make to have catholic teachers teaching a christian school? huh? stop hating on this church. as much as i dont like them, i think its WRONG to hate them for making their teachings consistent. teachers can teach somewhere else
