We grow this German Cabbage for use as sauerkraut. It makes the best, hands down. Its thin, tender leaves also make the best coleslaw we have ever had.

  • Where you live? what zone? The fidler seeds i find are 160 Day. How long did yours take? jpbikeman@yahoo.com

  • @jpbikeman I live in the north, zone 5/6. I start them about 8 or 9 weeks before the last frost, in my basement, under grow lights, and I harvest them right after the first light frost of fall. They do fine. That's about 160 days. Getting them started early, indoors, is the secret. We have our first light frosts around the middle to end of October. Sometimes they sit through a few light frosts. Doesn't hurt them. The thing is, I have grown a lot of different cabbages, and these are worth it!
