NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED - (Tower 114) Recorded at The Capitol Tower in October of 1964 and issued in November for the Christmas season, 58 year old monster movie legend, Lon Chaney, Jr. does quite a good cover of the original 1962 Bobby 'Boris' Pickett tune. Hollywood's top session players, The 'Wrecking Crew' and background vocals by The Blossoms are featured on the track.

  • I have this "45 also,it's one of my prized collectable's, I bought it back in '65 when I found it in (of ALL place's) a furniture store in Cleve, Ohio. Those were the days. Thanks.

  • @wolfmantip What a great memory. In a furniture store in Cleveland.....that's the the last place I'd expect to find this record.

  • Does anyone know what the B-Side was ?

  • @Cyrusl99 The flip is a throw-away instrumental entitled, 'The Yule-tide Jerk'.

  • Thanks for the nice diversion there! Lon was in Of Mice And Men with Burgess Meredith on t v today as well.

  • @quieterrps I wonder if Lon Chaney, Jr. ever regretted playing all of the monsters. It somewhat typecasted him. Still, he did plenty of work after those thrillers.
