One of the steepest roads in Northern Europe, built during 1842-1846. The road has 13 hairpin bends, with Stalheim Hotel located at the top overlooking the road and the Nærøy Valley. On either side of the road you can see the Stalheim Waterfall (126 m) and the Sivle Waterfall (142 m). Stalheimskleiva is a one-way road going down. (http://www.visitvoss.no/en/Product/?TLp=280572)

Stalheimskeiva lies a few miles to the north of Voss, just off the main highway. Built during the eighteen forties, it is one of the steepest roads in Northern Europe. Driving along the road you are offered many sightseeing opportunities. There are great views of both the Stalheim and Sivle Waterfalls, both of which fall more than a hundred metres. There are a total of thirteen hairpin bends on the road. (http://www.anorwayattraction.com/norway-attractions/stalheimskleiva.htm )

Show!!

Stalheimskleiva Road The Stalheimskleiva Road, which twists and turns up through 13 hairpin bends offering views of the Sivlefossen and the Stalheimsfossen waterfalls, is the steepest stretches of road in Northern Europe. Stalheimskleiva is open from May to September. http://www.visitnorway.com/en/sponsored/com/articles/Norway-in-a-nutshell-/
