  • Yes it was. As it says he is singing one of his songs. I guess I could have been a bit clearer on that. But it is his original work. Often makes me cry when he sings it.

  • proud to be nordic :-)

  • I would very much like to have the lyrics to this song!

  • @GoodAvatar

I do thank you for your kind words of my Performance. The song you're asking about in titled "A Song of Northshield." It was written by Master Owen Alun and is one of our Kingdom's standards and favorites. I think there is a recording of it being sung in massive harmony here on Youtube. I'll Reply again once I find it, or perhaps we can get some people together in a couple weeks to specifically record it. It's definitely a worthy song to be shared.

  • I was fortunate enough to be at a camp circle when he sang during an SCA event in the Black Hills. This guy can really, REALLY sing and it impressed the hell out of me. I've been trying for years to find the song he sang and the best I've found is the lyrics, which of course isn't the same. It's a Northshield song and if anyone can find it somewhere, let me know.

It's something to the effect of "Northshield rise and follow the stars, gallant in peace and valiant in war!"

    After that, no idea.

  • A fantastic song. it a beautiful piece, well thought out and sang beautifully, filled with soul. This one is being added to my favourites so I can easily find it and listen to many times. Thanks for uploading this.

  • This was one of the best stories I have heard in Skaldic style. Very engaging, Thank you for posting this. Was this written by the bard?
