He failed to protect the rights of the unborn. The unborn are the most defenseless human beings in a society and he knew they were being murdered everyday by their own mothers and fathers in this generation and he failed to do anything about it to save their lives. His own reputation was more important to him than doing the right thing in grave matters. He went against his Pope and Bishop and the teachings of Jesus himself in this matter. May God have mercy on his soul.

He was elected to the Senate in 1962, before Jack and Bobby were assassinated, so it wasn't b/c of those tragedies in his family.

I had respect for John and Bobby Kennedy. I don't agree with most of Ted (Ed) Kennedy's views. I always felt he got the job in the Senate because of the tragedy in his family, not because of any prior experience he had I agree with the prior comment about the Lady in the Lake. Their is a major cover up in her death to protect the Kennedy name. Or she was just eliminated for the same reason. It would not be the first time their was a cover up attempt.

A descent and wonderful man, this family has done so much service to this country his legacy will always be with us everytime we talk about rights or minimum wage, He always fought for us and he never waivered. i love the kennedy's and hope that love abounds and his family will continue to fight for us even though some of us don't even know the depth of their service. Thank the Kennedy family for all of their voices. The dream does live on.

i love it when Couric appears on The Early Show.. she should atleast go and sub for Smith sometime soon... but Couric should still remain as the Evening News anchor
