not the wind u gotta worry about. its the ground.

@goooober correct. I am not a pilot. I have, however, been subjected to more than a few aborted landings/takeoff in both military and civilian aircraft. Life is too short to take risks like this. I do not like taking off or landing in strong cross winds because it is statistically and significantly dangerous. But I am NOT a pilot. So, rather than attack me, why not refute my ideas with some kind of educated, rational response.

@woodrat2296 your a fucking idiot go outside when you have 149 kmh winds and try and hold your camera still u stupid fuck
-
@pikapoketpu Oh okay! Thanks for the explanation. :)
-
@mizzLebanese The wind speed isn't a big issue as long as the crosswind component is in the aircrafts' limits. The wind in this case wasn't dangerous because it was nearly a direct headwind.

@c3zdefalt Not today haha!
-
Just a little breeze for us. And the lowest its been all winter was only -10 so its pretty damn warm here
-
@nomadicone69 Ok well stay home and don't fly, because 90% of the time you will probably consider it to be "unsafe".
-
Winds did reach 149km/h here..... Google calgary wind storm november 27th.

I completely understand you, I know exactly what the problem is, but unfortunately there is not yet a cure for being a sissy. I hope everything else in life works out for you. Best of luck.
Why can't you idiots hold your fucking cameras still?

@woodrat2296 The only idiot is the one that's never tried to hold a camera in Hurricane wind.

They did end up cancelling all flights that day due to the wind.

@musicalcats86 No, there was minimal cancellations. As long as the winds are within the operational limits of the aircraft it's fine.
