Many thanks to Rachel Searles and Brian White for this explanatory video. It's a very good treatment of the problem compared with that impersonal message "We've reviewed your site and We Believe That Some or all of your pages still violated our quality guidelines." All the best!

This video should be updated. And btw, Google Help is very minimalist comparing to the importance they have in the online search world.

May be, because Google has proven itself to be the God of all search engines. Wait and watch to see if in the future some new search engine God appears. I see little chances!

I believe that in some cases, duplicate content should not lead to penalty from Google because websites like classified ads websites, often the same ad has been posted in 2 or 3 relevant categories and the poster/advertiser has posted exactly the same ad on some another classified ads websites. So what is the fault of classified ads website's owner then? Does it mean Google will penalize all of them?

So.. google web masters work all day sitting in a red couch with the laptops in their feet? Why don't they wear their pαzamas? I'm sure it would be more comfortable. No wonder it takes them weeks to review a site.

Some webmasters have 1000's of pages, if Google find things that are against the TOS, why do we have to find it out by ourself?

Why are you acting as gods of the internet? Just cause we search with you (and we can use someone else) and just cause we watch on your site (that too we can do with others) doesnt mean it gives you the right to interferre with a business.... our website is just a regular hostel website with a booking engine. You block it - you owe me money since other ppl cant access it... thats starting to be illegal you know?

Would be nice to give a hint to the webmaster as to why their site might have been removed from index. There is no way to know otherwise. Google seems to spuradicly index and deindex as it leases.
