  • It's the sodium lauryl sulfate and or sodium laureth sulfate in shampoos that's drying our hair out, it's a cheap soaping agent (creates the lather) and is most commonly used in car wash detergents. The original Creme of Nature in the red and white bottle doesn't have either of those ingredients I use that and it makes my hair feel really good afterwards.

  • Umm I don't understand. People wash their hair because there is build up of oils so the conditioner breaks down the oils. When you co wash so much wont it cause more build up? Just want to know before I start.

  • @cloudsifter11 The best thing for ashy skin is to scrub it daily in the shower with a stiff natural bristle brush. Do not use HOT water but warm to lukewarm water as hot water will dry your skin out.Use a moisturizing body wash like Olay (that is what works for me). After your shower apply a good moisturizer to your skin. (I use Aveeno 24 hr lotion as that is what works best for me.) Scrubbing your body with a brush like that gets rid of the dead skin cells that makes our skin look ashy. GL.

  • Using too much conditioner dries your hair out as well and NO it does not clean your scalp. That is what shampoos is for. Conditioner can cause you to have scalp problems. That is why you wash your scalp and condition your hair.

  • Just because you post a video didn't make you a hair expert...first obvious sign for me is that she said she washes her hair with shampoo once a week...plus she is using any product....ask the products she said she use are bad for natural hair....

  • something about the way u speak reminds me of DeShawn from the 1st season of Real Housewives of Atlanta

  • @thesecondclasswoman thats why you such clarify with vinegar rinses once every 1-2 weeks to get rid of the buildup plus ifu use a cone free conditioner and not very many products the buildup wont be as bad

  • @creditr00ster any shampoo still dries out hair cuz it still has cleansing agents in it it just might not be as bad

  • Very informative, thanks!

  • Thanks 4 this video. I wasn't quite sure what co- washing is :)

  • are you natural or relaxed ? i just came across this video and was curious :)
