  • vita, this is such great stuff, PLEASE keep it coming, I'm 48 and love ribbing my older sister with this stuff, and I REALLY enjoy showing them to my nieces and nephews who thought I was kidding about some of the ads from back when I was a kid! THANK YOU! Please, keep these memories coming!

  • @MayarO1313

I have another 30,000 feet that I am getting ready to transfer. Fear not! More are on the way.

  • Thanks folks for your compliments. There will be a volume 4 soon... I hope

  • The announcer at 6:47 is veteran New York actor/voice-over Ralph Bell in the 1963 Newport ad; veteran sportscaster Bill Stern [whose glorious career was mostly behind him] narrates his 1963 Newport spot ...very rare color bumpers at 4:37, identifying a filmed series co-produced by NBC {Fred Collins, veteran NBC announcer, does the honors of I.D.'ing in both, the first from 1964-'65; second from 1962-'64}. Ed Reimers is the announcer for Allstate at 2:13 and Crest at 5:42.

  • ...quality...

  • How times change...fun to watch! Nice qulity too!

  • Commercials in the '60s--the golden age! The music, production, style and camerawork were so innovative and classic. You can especially watch clips of the old public service ads of that decade, and they still can get to you. Thanks for these!

  • $2500 for a car???? My God, that's ridiculous!!

  • OK - you got me, I'm gonna subscribe. Until you put out volume 4 I'll just "favorite" the first 3 volumes to tide me over. And if you ever decide to market DVD's of these ads, I'll be right there to buy them. Thanks for posting them all. I remember about 60% of these ads, the others must have aired after my bedtime (when most of these were out, I was not even old enough to go to school).

  • That was a fun nine minutes and 2 seconds. Thanx for posting.

  • Okay, is anyone else intensely creeped out by the voice that says "don't beeeeeee, half safe" in the Arrid Ad?

  • @vitaphonedisc - Also, the quality is just amazing, I can imagine it taking several hours to make a few frames...like on the radio, not many realize that three minutes took three months (or longer) to record...so take your time and make 'em great, do you have more than NBC promos in your collection? I'd love a set of test patterns if you have those! Thanks for your hard work!
