  • ok i live here in arkansas and i was woundering what if i cant find a cactus around where i am at then what do i use as a hook?

  • @headhunter1996 any thorny tree, bone splinters, or wood splinters will enable you to make hooks

  • Where do you find sea shells & pine trees together?

  • in fresh water locations you would use wood or mussel shells. shells are the most abundant at shore lines, but can be found miles from water.

  • the wood is saturated with resin. Heart of pine or pine root burns very well without help (a stick can be coated with sap and burned just like heart wood) both ways work well.

  • i have used this method before but i used some giant snail shells, i am going to try this fish hook style,

ive never used the bracket fungus before to be honest i havnt really been lookin for them becuase i didnt know they were usefull,

  • the bracket fungus is an extreemly useful fire burning tool, they are exelent oil and pine sap wicks. and some species are powdery and can be light with flint sparks.the bracket is a tool that you want.

  • I have to thank you sir, your videos (plus those of another) inspired to me to continue and enhance my own training. (It's in four parts--I won't get into it, off subject). But I also have to say that I am impressed by your skills and abilities. I'm considered to be highly-skilled, but you..you are quite the master. I'd never thought of using chunks of fungus with oil to make candles and stoves and such..

  • great 5 stars made one last week i got 1 big fish it was bigger than 30 cm it was huge thanks

  • Modern technology could never fascinate me as much as ancient survival...
