Extremely rare audio tape of Hockey Hall of Famer Jim Robson calling the Vancouver Canucks game at the Portland Buckaroos in March 1968 -- two and a half years before Vancouver was awarded an NHL franchise. Two future NHLers battled each other between the pipes: Tony Esposito (Vancouver) and Jim McLeod (Portland). This is a real throwback to hockey in a golden age when the play-by-play announcer called the game solo without a colour man interrupting all the time. Makes for great radio listening. Originally broadcast on CKWX radio in Vancouver, before Jim Robson and the rights to broadcast Canuck games shifted over to CKNW in 1970.
