I have been teaching myself the violin and other instruments that are coming along pretty quickly. I have NEVER played guitar or anything that has frets. I don't really intend on this instrument to become really great at it (unless it happens by mistake!) but I will learn more and try and get down some chords, etc. when I just want to play some fun songs during get togethers, etc. :-). I tuned the instrument just before getting on and this was my second time playing it. I find that if I do NOT look at anything when I am playing, and just listen by ear, that is the quickest way to figure out what I want the instrument to produce, well at least for the very beginning. When you try a new instrument, try not looking at it, but just feeling it and hearing it. I did that with the piano and have been playing for years now as well as other instruments in bands, concerts, etc. This was just for making some small fun tunes at certain times which I am intent on learning! I know the chords will sound better but I'm going to have to learn how to strum first, thats for sure. I got this Ukulele on ebay from music123. Do NOT mind the rubber bands on the ukulele... the peg in the beginning would not stay in tune but now it is fine! :-)
Hugs and luv,
Kris
