I think Scott Chesner is a great weatherman and I stopped watching channel 5 news when he was no longer there. He worked with one of the pioneers of TV weather reporting, Harold Taft. Wish Scott was back in the DFW market.

Heh, I have yet to see this kind of slip-up on my local news.. Best I've seen was reporters getting soaked and slip-sliding when doing reports about how much damn ice is on the road..

I am the guy that got fired...here is the story...
I was the supervisor of the master control when the incident happened. I had a trainee on my board(master control). We were doing voice over, Scott decided he wanted facetime. We were trying to accommodate him. I the voice you here first am not(was not) a director so was not practiced with that particular station. My new guy gave us control, Scott walked into the control room(mike on) and the rest is history. Bad timing is all this was.
