@18richardson What are you talking about? 5 to 10 seconds ahead of the rest of the music? The note sounds the second the piper plays it. The Piper usually has to begin the drones ahead of the music, but only by 1 or 2 beats, and even then he's not ahead of the tune. The most difficult part of playing pipes with a fiddle is that the fiddle is too quiet. So put an amp on the fiddle, problem solved.
