it sounds to me like we are children. Immature in our beliefs that even if we might now know the answer we are so secure in our abilitiy to discover it, that we discount taking any time to ask whether or not we're on the right path. I'm awaking to this deep ecology point of view - and understand now how we can not just act pragmatically, but we must redesign our cultural frameworks that define ourselves in the universe! Life does have intrinsic value regardless of its utility to humans
