leaves a lot to be desired this approach, cal me old fashioned too but the Lady should have been on the quite old horse and the guy on the young Horse!!!

It isn't that they did it wrong it's more that it was a bit rushed, if the horse is still going nuts under the saddle, don't bother getting on yet unless your taking a very firm approach and going to pull the horse out of the bucking as you ride (which didn't happen). just keep going with ground work with the saddle until the horse is ok with it then introduce body weight and then rides. Everyone is in such a hurry to get them broken in these days and the result = bad behaved horses for sale

You got the job done, but the way you guys broke him truly SUCKED !!!

LOL this video made me giggle just a bit watching the girl as she just held on to the saddle letting the horse get away with the rodeo and also rewarding the horse after words istead of pulling one rein. Wouldn't want to be riding next to that horse on a trail! I just feel bad for the roan who got caught up in the middle. Another thing not good for broke horses: Learning to run away from situations like this.... odd. But cudos for hangin on!

should of started at 2 not three
@ejfoun10 you can tell that groundwork has been done by the way he stands and sends out etc. I got a horse that acts simular to this horse, to start. I have prepaired him and he is still jumpy, so my training with him is going slower, and thats ok. Everyone has their own methood and some work better than others. Horses are all different too. I thought they treated this horse just fine, and they do know what they are doing here, even more so than I. I cannot sit a bucker.

@barbaro375 It shouldn't matter what side you put the saddle on, if you do enough preparation with groundwork and desensitizing.
