This is the Vectrex in action! The Vectrex is an amazing system that has to played to be believed,
it was released in 1982 and sold for $199. It has a built-in vector monitor, fantastic sound, and
a great controller. This was filmed in 2004. There are a few glitches, but hang in there to see the
whole thing! Check it out!

  • Oh I love geek porn!

I'm glad I had an Atari coz the Vectrex game look too damn hard!

  • It was a little tough, but the control is great. Practice makes perfect...(however, the Atari VCS is dearest to my heart).

  • Looks like some Ti99/4A Blasto at the end of the video.

  • Wow, good eye orion1052003! If you check out the intro to the show (found elsewhere here on youtube as a part 1), you may be able to pick out part of that familiar ditty. Listen closely. Thanks for watching!

  • It may of been black and white, but it looks more powerful than a 2600, and I think I like the graphics better too.

  • Do you know what kind of analog stick the vectrex used? I need a replacement for one.

  • true with the nes music but it dose sound cool made me laugh but thats me

  • Why are you using NES music in a Vectrex video?

Also, no offense intended, but man you stink at those! That helicopter never killed me! Bwahahahahahahaha!

  • How come Bezerk did not have voice like the arcade version? I saw a Home Brew Video with a game that had voice so Vextrex is capable of digitized sounds.

Pole Position On Vectrex did not have the digitized speech either.

  • Have you ever heard of the word "soon"? By the time something would have sold there, I would have moved already.

I ended up giving a lot of stuff to a friend who goes to an electronics swap meet for him to sell.

But I have kept the Vectrex! Not sure where my cartridges are yet. Must be in one of the old boxes that I moved without opening.

  • Sigh. I love my old Vectrex. Haven't played it in 15 years probably. Going to move out of state soon so have to unload a lot of old stuff. I probably should get rid of the Vectrex and all my games -- still have original boxes for most, and the plastic overlays for all. Haven't the faintest idea of where to advertise it to people who'd be interested in it though. Not to mention my two Atari 2600s, Atari 5200 and Intellivision II.

  • I just recently got one. The grafiks are amazing! I mean they are soo sharp!
