but I think he is although you here he's following the chords

it seems that he's is not realy improvising too much on the theme but maybe a bit to much

vetical as it is called this problem is even to hear when you analyse coltrane's first Giant Steps,

Although he does a magnificant Job if you realy listen without the thought that he is great you here in the end

a bit repetition of the main idea,He studied certain intervals as a strategy to speed

@MokshaIS hah- i like the psychology reference but I dont think it applies...wouldn't I think every guitarist is mediocre? ...Basically, I have tried to understand why Mike is held in higher esteem than so many players, and I can't figure it out. To my ear he sounds pretty good at a lot of things, but nothing stands out... Though I have to say, I do like his playing on Jean Pierre with Miles
