まいうー - 日本語俗語辞書
まいうーとは「旨い」「美味しい」を意味する業界用語によくある倒語のひとつである。倒語とは通常使っている言葉をひっくり返して表現するもので、業界でよく使われるものに『ワイハー（ハワイの意）』『デルモ（モデルの意）』などがあり、まいうーも単純に「うまい」がひっくり返っただけである。まいうーが特に一般でも使われるようになったキッカケはテレビ東京系列の『元祖！でぶや』という番組で、この番組内でホンジャカマの石塚英彦と振付師兼ダンサーのパパイヤ鈴木が旨いものを食べた際に「まいう〜」と言ったことから広まった。特に石塚英彦にとっては「まいう〜」がひとつのキャッチフレーズ的にもなっている。
