@SWATutorials - They aren't called orca whales! It's either Orcas or Killer Whales or Orcinus Orca. Thats it. But they are a member of the dolphin family that you have right.

wow, that is truly amazing! i am hoping to visit seattle next spring break and go whale watching! what time of year was this? do you know if the spring time is a good time to go? like in march?

That was in May, I believe ... a week or two before Memorial Day. I'm not sure what season is best for whale watching, but the weather was nice at that time. I'm pretty sure at least one pod hangs around all year there.
