We were watching the news about this storm and I couldn't just sit inside while this monster reared its ugly teeth just outside my door...we were kept safe (this time), and these winds are a reminder of last year's F2 tornado that swept this same neighborhood; downing trees, hurling trampolines into power lines, and ripping shingles and siding off of homes.

  • When you are standing still and notice the clouds moving over at the rate these were...usually means a storm is nearby...

  • @catman5169 Very observant of you. I'll keep that in mind next time.

  • That raIn CAME FAST AND HEAVY!

The video doesn't do full justice--it was intense; unlike anything I have ever experienced.

  • @ministercreek Yes, that is correct.

  • @pretty5pixie try jumping off your roof and parachuting down with a sheet.

  • You have now lived in Indiana for the day LOL. Our storms lately have been like this. Just uncontrolled sheets of rain with gail wind force. I cross my fingers that we never have a tornado bigger than an f2 because it would bring some major devastation. I live in greenwood, just 15 miles south of downtown Indy and we have 2-3 (3rd was a small barnstormer tornado like .5 lol). There is nothing fun about them.

  • It sucks because I live in a part of Georgia were we get it the worse So im scared silly every season. I want a nice deep Tornado shelter so badly.

  • @cammattscott Olive Branch Mississppi?

  • @pretty5pixie I agree. Hurricane winds dont start till 74mph....and we get nasty storms down here in FL.

  • That's just like me. I hear a tornado warning I go right outside to check it out

  • Yeh wow I can see that rain rotating!!! We had rain like that at school in Aus once! It didn't last that long though!

    \Great capture!
