I had a chance to use the new Sony NEX 7 and the Sony Zeiss 24mm f1.8 lens on a trip in Oct. 2011 to Malawi. I was shooting with a humanitarian group the works with orphans and their care givers as well as street kids. A fair bit of the photos were low light, where the Zeiss 24mm f1.8 was outstanding. I also brought along the new 50mm portrait lens and the 55-210 E-mount zoom. There's a bit of me talking about the camera, then images from the shoot. The great thing about this camera is the size. Without a lens on it, it's the size of a deck of cards yet produces great quality stills since it has the larger APS-C sensor. Overall I thought the camera worked well in the heat and dust and the cameras OLED viewfinder was a pleasure to use once you're used to setting exposure with the viewfinder image.
