I always wondered where this spoof came from. It definitely sounds like it was from the 1980s, too.

Those kids are behaving more believably at the beginning of this spoof than in practically any other depiction I have seen. The only other instance that comes to mind is in Close Encounters, when Roy Neary's kids are arguing, breaking things and indulging in general havoc, and we don't know why. Neary and his wife apparently don't know either... or care.
