Interesting to note the damage done to the Washington Monument in the earthquake of August 23, 2011! The columns do not represent gods. They represent the two pillars at the gates of Solomon. I'm sorry to say this but there is reason to believe that both Solomon and King David employed the use of the very magic and rituals you (and I) detest. What does this say about your bible?

Although you're right about the obelisk. The phallus is a central image in all pagan cultures, I'm sure you know that.
