Never lose the effect this song had on me... They certainly have stood the test of time though - right back from the whole 'MadChester' scene... not many can say that..!! And before anyone says it, - The Stone Roses are on their 3rd incarnation... (Oh yeah, The Charlatans are from a place called Northwich, in Cheshire, UK - NOT, as many are led to believe, from Manchester... fy trivia...)

The Charlatans have been around for ages making top tunes, this is one of their very best... I love the breakdowns and buildups in their tunes, just epic stuff.

no they peaked in 97 when tellin stories came out. for me that was there strongest album although the charlatans album was class aswell.

@ste8180 they peaked from 90 -96 ,then rob died ,but i agree that their gigs are stunning .

ive been to loads of gig's over the years. but when i seen the charlatans for the first time when they headlined V98 in leeds. it was at the hight of there success, and truely the best musical experience of my life. it was fucking monumental.
